    Project Sites Department: Project Operations – HVAC

    About Role :

    Deputy Manager – HVAC Large Projects will be responsible for end-to-end execution of large HVAC projects with a primary focus on Chiller SITC (Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning). The role requires strong coordination with customers, consultants, vendors, and internal teams, along with accountability for project billing, collection, and contractual compliance. The position demands robust technical expertise, commercial acumen, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and as per quality and safety standards. Key Roles & Responsibilities (KRA): 1. Project Execution & Management • Complete end-to-end handling of large HVAC projects from kick-off to final handover. • Planning, scheduling, execution, monitoring, and controlling all project activities. • Ensuring adherence to project timelines, scope, specifications, and budget. • Coordination with design, procurement, site execution, QA/QC, and safety teams. 2. Chiller SITC Management • Responsible for Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of large capacity chillers. • Coordination with OEMs, vendors, logistics agencies, and commissioning engineers. • Ensuring compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and statutory norms. • Managing performance testing, documentation, and client sign-offs. 3. Customer & Stakeholder Coordination • Acting as the single point of contact for customers during project execution. • Regular coordination with clients, PMC, consultants, and statutory authorities. • Conducting progress review meetings and sharing MIS, reports, and project updates. • Managing variations, change orders, and scope clarifications. 4. Billing, Certification & Collections • Preparation and submission of RA bills, final bills, and variation claims. • Follow-up for bill certification with clients/consultants. • Coordination with finance and clients for timely collections. • Monitoring project cash flow and working capital.

    5. Commercial & Contractual Management • Understanding of contracts, BOQs, specifications, and commercial terms. • Handling deviations, extra items, and claims as per contract provisions. • Ensuring contractual compliance and risk mitigation. 6. Quality, Safety & Compliance • Ensuring adherence to quality assurance and quality control processes. • Compliance with EHS standards and statutory requirements at site. • Implementation of company ISO, safety, and process standards. 7. Team Leadership & Coordination • Leading site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors. • Resource planning – manpower, machinery, and materials. • Training, mentoring, and performance monitoring of team members. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): • On-time project completion • Chiller SITC milestones achievement • Client satisfaction • Billing and collection efficiency • Cost control and profitability • Quality and safety compliance Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory). • 8–12 years of experience in HVAC large projects execution. • Minimum 3–5 years of experience handling large chiller projects. • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, BMS interfaces. • Experience in reputed HVAC contracting / EPC organizations. Skills & Competencies: • Strong project management and coordination skills. • Excellent communication and client management abilities. • Sound commercial and contractual understanding. • Proficiency in MS Office, Project Planning tools (MS Project/Primavera preferred). • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project complexities. • Leadership mindset with problem-solving attitude. Additional Requirements: • Willingness to travel to project sites. • Ability to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines. • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
