What you will do:

    We are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager, Transportation to lead the building of transportation management system across the APAC region. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing regional transportation strategies, driving standard work and digitalization of the logistics and freight management process, overseeing critical service requests, driving freight forwarder performance, championing digital transformation, and collaborating closely with Procurement teams. This is a strategic and hands-on role, ideally suited for an individual with over 10 years of experience in the logistics industry, either on the 3PL or client side, with a strong mix of operational excellence, Lean methodology, and state-of-the-art digital tool deployment.

    How you will do it:

    Develop and Implement APAC transportation Strategy
    • Leveraging transportation data analytics, design and execute innovative transportation strategies tailored to the APAC market.
    • Drive standardization of logistics management process across APAC.
    • Ensure strategies align with broader company objectives and support sustainable growth.
    • Continuously monitor market trends and emerging technologies.
    • Calibrate the transportation expense % with financial plans for each major business unit, generating insights to have periodic review with business units.
    Timely Logistics Service Delivery
    • Provide end-to-end guidance for logistics service requests, including scope-of-work clarification for quotations with Procurement, bookings, and urgent escalations.
    • Coordinate closely with regional logistics team, freight forwarders and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient shipment execution.
    Digital Tools Implementation and Optimization
    • Lead the project management and deployment of digital freight management tools, such as a Transportation Management System (TMS).
    • Coordinate and conduct regional training, develop standardized workflows, and drive adoption of new digital solutions.
    • Continuously initiate, monitor and optimize tool-based performance metrics from billing reconciliation to transportation KPIs.
    Freight Forwarder Performance Calibration and Stakeholder Communication
    • Develop and monitor analytics for key freight forwarder performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, end-to-end lead time, logistics expense, reporting quality, rate deviation, and project shipment say-do ratios. Co-own the Corp KPIs of CRSD and Quality(shipping) with regional L&D leader.
    • Utilize scorecards to benchmark performance and identify improvement
    • Organize and facilitate Quarterly Business Review (QBR) sessions with partners.
    • Communicate findings and actionable feedback to Procurement for future vendor selection and contract award decisions.

    What we look for:

    • Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of APAC’s logistics landscape - including freight forwarding, multi-modal transport, and compliance requirements.
    • Lean Expertise: Demonstrated ability to apply Lean principles and continuous improvement frameworks to logistics operations.
    • Digital Acumen: Direct experience implementing and managing Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or similar logistics digital tools, including training and overseeing change management.
    • Analytical Skills: Strong KPI development, data analysis, and reporting skills. Proficiency in using data to drive decision-making.
    • Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in logistics operations or management, preferably with exposure to both 3PL providers and client-side logistics.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with experience engaging senior internal and external partners.
    • Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills—proven ability to lead complex, region-wide initiatives.
    • Languages: Fluent in English
