How you will do it:
Lead the development and execution of comprehensive test plans and test cases for embedded software running on industrial and electromechanical systems.
Design, implement, and maintain automated and manual test frameworks and scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage across both software-only and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments.
Collaborate with software development teams to understand requirements and ensure testability from early design through production release.
Conduct reviews of design and requirements to identify potential issues early in the development cycle.
Execute hands-on testing in lab and manufacturing-like environments, including setup, configuration, and validation of test equipment and test benches.
Analyze test results, report defects, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues affecting product performance, reliability, and safety.
Participate in root cause analysis and drive corrective actions for identified issues that may span software, firmware, and hardware interactions.
Contribute to process improvements and the adoption of new testing tools and methodologies appropriate for complex industrial products rather than purely transactional systems.
What you will need
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of overall experience in software development and testing within embedded, industrial, or product-focused environments.
4+ years of hands-on experience specifically in manual testing, preferably automated testing with direct interaction with physical hardware or devices.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or similar.

Prior experience in leading testing efforts for complex embedded systems.
Preferred
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing automated testing solutions and frameworks.
Experience working with electromechanical systems, HVAC equipment, industrial controls, manufacturing equipment, or construction-related products.
Background in validating software in lab, factory, or field environments rather than exclusively enterprise IT or financial systems.
