What you will do:

    • Drive commercial intensity, enhance sales effectiveness, and foster sustainable business growth across the Asia Pacific region, encompassing all lines of business.
    • Conduct comprehensive strategic planning, in-depth data analysis, process improvement initiatives, and robust stakeholder management to align business objectives.
    • Oversee the management of processes, policies, and system solutions associated with sales performance and incentives, collaborating closely with regional and local sales teams, Human Resources, Total Rewards, and Finance functions.
    • Support the sales and commercial leadership by driving continuous improvement in sales productivity, pipeline health, and overall effectiveness to enable profitable growth.
    • Focus on executing strategies within the Asia Pacific field businesses and participate actively in a newly constructed global team dedicated to operational excellence.
    • Engage proactively in the development of global standards, supporting initiatives that span multiple business units and drive consistency across the organization.

    How you will do it:

    • Lead and coordinate Commercial Sales effectiveness initiatives and regular cadences with Country Sales, Finance, and HR teams to enhance sales efficiency and productivity.
    • Identify, develop, and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurements. Define a comprehensive commercial KPI tracking mechanism and establish dynamic sales dashboards to ensure accountability, ownership, and facilitate meaningful discussions during sales and commercial reviews.
    • Design, deploy, and maintain sophisticated tracking and reporting of performance measurements utilizing advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Access, Excel) alongside robust IT systems (e.g., CRM, ERP) to bolster sales and commercial intensity.
    • Contribute to APAC and Global Commercial Business reviews by providing insightful data on sales quotas, performance metrics, and identifying trends or areas for enhancement, utilizing tools, dashboards, and scorecards for countries, lines of business, verticals, accounts, digital solutions, and growth initiatives.
    • Oversee the sales performance and incentive governance model, ensuring effective processes and cadence are established for sales capacity tracking, sales quota setting, performance tracking, and incentive payout management.
    • Assist in updating sales incentive plans in collaboration with the Commercial leadership team and Total Rewards experts to motivate and drive the right seller behaviors that align with business goals.
    • Champion the APAC Commercial Operations community by spearheading commercial programs; collaborate with business and sales leaders/operations to craft growth strategies and aligned execution plans, fostering trusted and valued partnerships across all teams.
    • Lead communication efforts and drive change management initiatives during process and system rollouts across the Asia Pacific region, ensuring seamless transitions and buy-in from stakeholders.

    What we look for:

    • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in an Industrial MNC or Management Consulting environment, demonstrating a strong track record of success.
    • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University in Business Management, Sales & Marketing, or Engineering fields is required; advanced degrees are a plus.
    • Proven experience in assessing, analyzing, and resolving complex commercial issues, showcasing the ability to communicate implications effectively and facilitate problem-solving while driving consensus among diverse stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in utilizing data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Access, Excel) and familiarity with Salesforce.com or other CRM systems, including extensive experience in creating business intelligence dashboards through the consolidation of multiple data sources with clear visualizations and automated/scheduled refresh capabilities.
    • Creative problem-solving abilities combined with conflict management skills within diverse organizational structures (centralized matrix organizational structure).
    • Adept at diving deep into data, breaking down complex problems into manageable components, conducting root cause analyses, and providing clear, actionable recommendations for improvement.
    • Self-directed, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, maintaining a strong focus on results and outcomes.
    • Exceptional influencing skills to integrate and collaborate with cross-functional teams from varied backgrounds, cultures, and geographies.
    • Outstanding presentation and communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
    • Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is mandatory.
    • An agile mindset, self-starter attitude, and a can-do approach to challenges are essential for success in this role.
