    What You Will Do

As a Security & Fire Services Executive at Johnson Controls, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming how buildings stay safe, secure, and connected. Reporting directly to the Security Sales Manager, you’ll lead efforts to secure Planned Service Agreements with both new and existing customers—driving recurring revenue and delivering real value.

You’ll serve as a subject matter expert in both enterprise security technologies (video surveillance, access control, digital services) and fire protection systems, helping customers modernize and optimize their building safety infrastructure. Your work will directly contribute to expanding our service footprint, reactivating dormant systems, and introducing innovative solutions that make a difference.

This is more than a sales role—it’s a chance to build lasting relationships, drive strategic growth, and be part of a company that’s shaping the future of smart buildings.

    How You Will Do It

    • Own your territory: Proactively identify and manage out-of-service locations, uncovering resale and service opportunities using tools like Salesforce, PowerBI, and internal dashboards.
    • Engage with impact: Conduct field and phone blitzes, face-to-face marketing, and strategic outreach to connect with decision-makers and showcase Johnson Controls’ value.
    • Sell smarter: Use the SPIN Selling methodology to guide conversations and ensure customers understand the full value of our offerings.
    • Drive growth: Sell services and upsell products to both existing and new customers—including those with discontinued systems—while meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
    • Expand reach: Target customers with low service penetration and introduce Johnson Controls’ digital and fire protection services to maximize coverage.
    • Create compelling proposals: Use approved marketing materials to craft persuasive presentations that highlight our competitive advantages.
    • Innovate lead generation: Leverage data mining, PowerBI RIF lists, and other tools to identify high-potential prospects.
    • Deliver excellence: Modify existing systems to meet customer expectations, follow up post-installation, and ensure satisfaction through training and support.
    • Retain and grow: Maintain strong customer relationships and drive long-term loyalty.

    What We Look For

    Required

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior-level executives.
    • Full-time availability and willingness to travel locally.

    Preferred

    • College degree.
    • 2+ years of successful experience in commercial sales within security, fire protection, IT, or technology sectors, with a proven track record of exceeding quotas.

Salary Range: HIRING SALARY RANGE: $60,000-80,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.) This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take into account project, quarterly, and annual margin. This position includes a competitive benefits package. Why are you being asked to complete this form?
We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
