Johnson Controls is seeking a highly skilled Senior PIM Engineer to support both Build and Run teams for our enterprise product data platform. The role spans solution design, data modeling, integrations, bulk data onboarding, and production support. We value platform versatility (e.g., Akeneo, Pimcore, Stibo, Salsify) and have a strong preference for Inriver experience; however, Inriver is not mandatory.
You will partner with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to implement and enhance PIM capabilities—product data modeling, attribute/taxonomy management, validation rules, enrichment workflows, localization, versioning, and system integration ensuring high data quality and reliable operations across downstream systems (eCommerce, ERP, CRM, CMS, DAM, and digital channels).
What will you do?
Build (PIM Engineering):
Design and evolve PIM data models (entities, relationships, attributes, CVLs), taxonomy/classification, validation rules, localization, and versioning.
Develop/enhance workflows and enrichment processes; implement bulk data loads (imports/ETL), transformations, and data validation/cleansing.
Build and maintain RESTful integrations with ERP, eCommerce, CRM, CMS, DAM, search, and analytics platforms (incl. event or message‑based patterns).
Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and performance/security best practices; produce technical documentation (designs, integration specs, data models, runbooks)
Run (Production Support & Operations):
Provide L2/L3 support, triage incidents, resolve defects/performance issues, and handle user requests per SLAs.
Perform root‑cause analysis (RCA) and implement sustainable corrective/preventive actions.
Monitor platform health, integration jobs, workflow queues, and data synchronization, tune jobs for throughput and stability.
Partner with business teams to unblock enrichment, data readiness, and channel syndication; support release/deployment and platform upgrades.
Platform & Engineering Excellence:
Apply OOP/SOLID principles and design patterns to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.
Implement unit tests, participate in CI/CD pipelines, and practice continuous improvement in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Champion data quality and governance, including completeness, consistency, stewardship processes, and auditability across channels.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent experience.
6–8 years of hands‑on engineering experience with C#/.NET, RESTful APIs, and MS SQL Server.
Practical experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, Azure SQL) and CI/CD (Azure DevOps Pipelines or equivalent).
Strong grasp of object‑oriented design, SOLID, testing, debugging, performance tuning, and secure coding.
Proven experience delivering and supporting enterprise integrations and data flows in a fast‑paced, Agile environment.
Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills; able to operate independently and collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Inriver PIM (strongly preferred but not required): data model configuration (entities/links/CVLs), workflows, extensions/connectors, bulk imports, and operational monitoring.
Experience with other PIM platforms (Akeneo, Pimcore, Stibo, Salsify) and PIM APIs.
Experience integrating PIM with ERP (e.g., SAP), eCommerce, CMS, DAM, and downstream digital channels.
Knowledge of event‑based integrations and data synchronization patterns (webhooks, queues, pub/sub).
Exposure to data governance, stewardship processes, and omnichannel distribution.
What do we offer?
Comprehensive benefits package.
Opportunities for professional growth and development.
Supportive and inclusive work environment.
Commitment to work-life balance and employee well-being.
Engagement in meaningful projects that make a difference.
