We are seeking a Project Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing basic required system field devices and performing commissioning using standard configuration and commissioning tools. You will also troubleshoot and resolve system problems and respond to basic warranty calls. The Project Technician will keep Johnson Controls, contractors, and customers informed of job progress and any issues as necessary.
How you will do it
Install security system field devices as required for project completion
Commission newly installed devices using standard configuration and commissioning tools
Troubleshoot and resolve basic system issues
Respond to and resolve warranty calls within service level agreements
Maintain clear and timely communication with Johnson Controls personnel, contractors, and customers on job progress, challenges, and resolutions
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with standards, protocols, and safety requirements
Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
Maintain tools and equipment in clean and working order
What we look for
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, or maintenance of field devices and systems
Familiarity with standard electrical/system concept, configuration and commissioning tools
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
