What you will do
This internship is designed to provide you with a positive work/training experience and challenging objectives. This position will be for the spring semester with the possibility of full-time employment upon graduation. Under the guidance of a full-time JCI employee, the intern will be expected to perform HVAC design, create, and review submittals, review and create programming using CCT and SCT, and perform general technical work in the district. How you will do it:
Keep management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues
Complete administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation
Document changes and provide information for as-built documentation.
Become familiar with CCT and SCT
Be able to perform QA/QC on submittals and programming received from GCOE India
Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety
What we look for
Required Qualifications:
Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college, technical school, or university
Pursuing a degree in HVAC or other technical degree
Currently a sophomore or higher status
Knowledgeable in the use of personal computers and the appropriate applications, including Excel, Word, AutoCAD, and PowerPoint
U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Have strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team
Energetic and driven attitude - you do what it takes to get the task completed
Good organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to pass a background and drug screening
Compensation Range: $18-22 per hour
