Wormald is seeking an experienced Annual Surveyor to join our established Hamilton team. This role is ideal for someone already working in the fire protection industry who takes pride in quality workmanship, compliance, and customer service.
Your primary focus will be the testing, surveying, and inspection of fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and Building Warrant of Fitness (BWOF) requirements, in line with current New Zealand Standards.

What you’ll be doing
Carrying out annual surveys and testing of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting
Completing BWOF inspections to NZ compliance requirements
Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers
Communicating effectively with supervisors to ensure efficient job delivery
Maintaining fire panels and immediate work areas in a clean, professional condition
Ensuring tools, equipment, and company assets are used safely and responsibly
Completing accurate timekeeping and documentation
Following all EH&S and site safety requirements, and reporting hazards as identified

What we’re looking for
Previous experience in the fire protection industry (preferred)
Working knowledge of NZ fire and building compliance standards
IQP registration or pathway toward IQP status is an advantage
Ability to read and work from drawings and plans
Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
Commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism
