RESPONSIBILITY Lead and manage inventory operations, ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely flow of materials to support production. Provide strong leadership to cross-functional teams across two shifts, fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence in inventory control and material availability.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Inventory Oversight & Accuracy
· Ensure precise verification and receipt of incoming materials, including purchase order reconciliation and visual inspection for quantity and condition.
· Collaborate closely with Purchasing to resolve discrepancies and maintain inventory integrity.
Cycle Count Management
· Co-lead daily cycle counting activities, analyze results, and drive corrective action plans through root cause analysis.
· Oversee ERP inventory transactions to ensure alignment between physical and system inventory.
Material Flow Coordination
· Direct the picking, staging, and transfer of materials to production multiple times daily.
· Monitor and communicate shortages proactively, driving continuous improvement in material flow and availability.
Inventory Environment & Safety
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inventory environment, minimizing component damage and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Inventory Optimization
· Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and address overstock, excess, and obsolete inventory.
· Support corporate goals by maintaining inventory value within target thresholds.
Performance Reporting
· Deliver weekly reports on key inventory metrics including inventory value, cycle count accuracy, and Days Inventory on Hand (DIOH).
· Use data to inform decisions and drive accountability.
Annual Physical Inventory
· Plan and execute the annual physical inventory, ensuring accuracy, team coordination, and minimal disruption to operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s Degree or 4–6 years of experience in Inventory Control and Warehouse Operations within a manufacturing environment (preferred).
· Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams across multiple shifts.
· Proficiency in ERP systems (AS400 preferred).
· Strong analytical skills with experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
· Experience with Power BI or Lean DNA is a plus.
· Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $67,900.00 - 101,900.00 USD Annual (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
