Location: Lubbock, TX
Shift: 1st Shift (Monday - Friday: 6AM-2:30PM) + OT as requested
Pay: $18.00/hour + Overtime opportunities
What you will do
As an Order Picker, or Picker Packer, you will be responsible for reading incoming orders and selecting the correct items from the warehouse shelves before staging them for delivery. The duties include operating forklifts and other heavy machinery, updating inventory counts and counting out the appropriate number of goods to fulfill and order.
How you will do it
Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
Collect order notes to fulfill deliveries.
Pick out ordered items from storage shelves or rooms using barcodes, serial numbers, etc.
Securely shrink-wrap items before placing them in envelopes or boxes.
Operate handling equipment according to industrial safety regulations.
Load items into delivery vehicles.
Update stock inventory after each item is retrieved.
Manage stock control including item replenishment and storage.
Perform other general warehouse duties as necessary.
What we look for
Required:
Ability to read and write in the English language
High school diploma or equivalent
Forklift Certified (Minimum 1 year)
Prior experience with standard sit-down, stand up Forklift
Prior experience using a cherry-picker forklift
Must have good attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred:
Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards)
Experience/Knowledge of inventory management
