We are currently recruiting for a Senior Stores Controller (Warehouse & Inventory Operations)
within our Aberdeen branch. The role will be part of Johnson Controls Global Offshore & Marine logistics department and will join our experienced team who assist with logistics and stock control for a variety of departments within this sector.

Role Purpose:
The Senior Stores Controller is a leadership position responsible for leading, transforming, and continuously improving the stores and warehouse function to support business growth, operational excellence, and a positive internal and external customer experience.
This role has full accountability for warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and team performance. The post holder will be a visible, hands-on leader who can make strong, timely decisions, drive change, and balance operational priorities with wider business goals and KPIs.
Key Objectives:
Deliver a reliable, efficient, and well-controlled stores operation that supports service delivery, projects, and client outcomes.
Lead and develop a high-performing stores team with clear standards, accountability, and ownership.
Improve internal support and client experience through better planning, structure, and consistency.
Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, and ways of working.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Change Management
Provide clear leadership, direction, and structure to the stores and warehouse team
Act as a visible and engaged leader on the warehouse floor, setting standards by example
Drive a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Challenge existing practices and implement practical, sustainable improvements
Make sound operational decisions aligned to business priorities and KPIs
Operational Excellence
Take full ownership of all warehouse and stores activities including goods in, storage, kitting, returns, and dispatch
Ensure materials and equipment are available to meet operational, service, and project requirements
Improve planning and coordination with operational and project teams to reduce reactive working
Establish efficient workflows that balance routine activity with urgent demands
