About the Role
We’re experiencing strong regional growth and are seeking an experienced Team Leader ready to take the next step in their fire industry career. This pivotal role spans operations, contract delivery and customer account management across the Mid North Coast, with flexibility to be based in Coffs Harbour or Port Macquarie.
You’ll lead a team of field Technicians, drive operational excellence, and build strong customer relationships while contributing to the success of our service business.
What You Will Do
Lead a hands-on field team to deliver operational KPIs
Drive continuous improvement and operational performance
Manage customer accounts and support business development activities
Support the Service Team Manager with asset management
Assist the Account Manager with monthly reporting and labour/material forecasting
Review and approve timesheets, POs, change orders and credits
Develop work programs and ensure accuracy, feasibility and compliance
Coordinate and manage subcontractors
Prepare quotes and review/approve technician-generated quotes
Coach, mentor and support the development of Technicians
What We’re Looking For
Relevant fire industry trade licence and 5+ years’ experience, or equivalent training and experience
Demonstrated people leadership experience
Strong commercial capability—planning, goal-setting, financial awareness
Technical subject matter expertise that inspires trust and credibility
A customer‑focused mindset with strong relationship‑building skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Initiative, accountability and the ability to lead by example
