- Investigates and analyzes product design proposals on electrical power panels, control panels, variable speed drives, and wire harnesses in accordance with UL, NEC, CSA, and CE codes, then recommends solutions.
- Proficient in electrical design and able to conceptualize and implement design ideas into the product.
- Proficient at preparing, checking, and coordinating the release of documentation to support designs.
- Responsible for technical direction to application engineers, designers, factory operations, product marketing, and product technical service.
- Responsible for the accurate completion of projects.
- Continuously increases expertise in all aspects of chiller electrical design, theory, construction, operation, and applications.
- Proficient at selecting the most suitable electrical components.
- Uses standard and sophisticated technical and mathematical principles, theories, concepts, techniques, processes, and standard methodologies in the field.
- Expertise and applying regulatory codes such as UL, NEC, CSA, and CE codes is a plus.
- Strives for continuous improvement and teamwork in a global product development and process environment.
- Responsible for engineering drawings including electrical schematics, and bills of materials.
- Experience with mechanical systems and material resource planning (MRP) software is also a plus.
- Adheres to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related field; minimum of 4 years’ experience.
- Experience crafting industrial products (engineer to order, applied, or ‘made to order’ environments)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven, team-oriented environment.
- Understands chiller controls.
- Familiarity with HVAC Systems and motor-driven mechanical engineering design and test is helpful.
- Travel domestically and internationally required (up to 10% of the time)

What will you do?
We would like you to be responsible for electrical analysis, detailed design, and control, as well as the overall electrical performance of air- and water-cooled chillers components and systems, including providing support to the production, laboratory, service, applications, and marketing teams located globally! We prefer you to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
