What you will do:
Leads and supports Johson Controls & CavAsia division technical operations in Singapore, overseeing projects ranging from medium to large-scale greenfield and retrofit projects primarily within the Pharma and Semiconductor industries.
How you will do it:
Holds full responsibility and accountability for all technical matters, including engineering, design, construction, project manpower planning, and project schedules, across multiple engineering disciplines.
Collaborates with various project teams and managers (PMs) on the following areas:
Works closely with the Tender Team on project costing-related matters during bidding.
Provides technical support to the team during the tender stage as solution architect.
Maintains and enhances positive relationships with clients and all stakeholders.
Be responsible for in house equipment selection and coordination with procurement for third party equipment.
Review, validate and coordinate engineering support from internal teams as well as bid management teams on tender stage.
Support project delivery team on technical aspects during execution stage if required.
In addition to the above responsibilities, you will also be responsible for:
Internal functional management, including resource planning, performance management, and career development of team members. This includes conducting employee assessments, developing succession and personal development plans, and identifying future organizational talent.
What we look for:
University degree in Engineering preferable Process or Mechanical Engineering, practical experience related to HVAC system, cleanrooms and exhaust abatement systems is beneficial.
Minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in the construction sector, specifically in the semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries.
Experience in the overall system design, tendering, and value engineering processes.
Knowledge of international design codes and standards.
Strong business partnering and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team with shared objectives. Prior experience in leading individuals to collaborate effectively is advantageous.
