Primary Responsibilities:
The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for short and long-term Supply Planning to support S&OE and S&OP processes for the Americas Intrusion Security business. This will include purchasing and expediting products from JCI Manufacturing Facilities and Third-Party Suppliers.
The Analyst will focus on an extensive portfolio of manufactured and OEM parts comprised of burglar alarm panels and peripherals. This role is very customer focused and will also require ongoing detailed interaction with Order Management teams and Distribution Centers to resolve transaction discrepancies and ensure improved on time delivery and customer experience. This will include oversight and direction of Customer returns disposition.
How you will do it
Analyze and utilize business data for the creation of a comprehensive supply plan evaluating multiple scenarios & factors to determine the best fit based on strategy & financial targets.
Work with the manufacturing plant to define rough-cut capacity plans, level load, & identify and mitigate constraints to support the demand forecast.
Define inventory parameters and safety stock levels based on Collaborated Sales Forecast. Ensuring JCI inventory policies and targets are met while fully supporting customer requirements.
Place and manage purchase orders including any needed expedites/push outs/cancellations to meet customer requirements and inventory goals.
Proactively identify and escalate risks pertaining to forecast consumption, service levels, and inventory gaps to meet revenue commitments. Monitor progress against the consensus demand plan exploring opportunities to improve delivery for drop in orders.
Coordinates with Manufacturing, Production Schedulers, Quality, and Engineering to assure Supply can meet customer demands as planned.
Meet or exceed annual goals related to CRD, DIOH, customer OTD.
Provide detailed Monthly report out for Inventory Health tracking with reserves calculations
Maintain legacy SQL database – Microsoft Access dashboard/data warehouse system for various business groups and Senior Leadership.
Performs special projects and ad hoc related duties as assigned.
Works with minimal supervision.
Other responsibilities:
Maintain accurate replenishment signals to assure a smooth flow of materials to the manufacturing floor and enable operational efficiency.
Monitor, publish, and work cross functionally to reduce product lead times.
Support Demand planning and Product management in NPI & phase in/phase out processes.
Maintains effective working relationships and communications with all departments.
What we look for
Required
Bachelor’s Degree and Min 5 years of supply chain operations experience, with working knowledge of a Demand/Replenishment Planning system. SIOP process, with key focus on supply planning concepts.
CPIM (Certificate of Production and Inventory Management) designation or equivalent
Extremely comfortable with manipulating data in Excel, Access Database knowledge and strong analytical skills, with ability to apply basic statistical concepts.
Ability to recognize trends within data and translate that back into a demand & supply plan narrative.
Familiar with manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.
Strong understanding of Customer-facing Order management processes.
Has a mindset of continuous improvement and always looks for optimal and effective ways to execute and improve process and end results.
Experience with end-to-end supply chain planning tools and forecasting systems (ERP - Baan/SAP), Planning Tools, Logility preferred.
